Every fall, Connecting Champions hosts the “Night of Inspiration,” an evening celebrating local kids with cancer.

The children receive awards from their mentors sharing how they’ve inspired us with their bravery during the cancer journey.

The Night of Inspiration also features hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, and an inspirational story shared by a local kid with cancer.

Every year during the month of March, people across the nation form teams with their friends, families, workplace, or organizations to sponsor friendships for every Connecting Champions kid in the coming year.

Teams raise money in multiple ways: making their March Madness brackets charitable, hosting creative events (dress down Friday, pizza party, charitable yoga classes, etc.) or simply asking people to pitch in a small donation.

Every $250 sponsors a friendship moment, and at the end of the year, each team receives a scrapbook with the moment(s) they made possible!

The Janet Lynne McAllister Masquerade Ball is held in Memory of Janet Lynne McAllister who passed away on August 5, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. It was Janet's wish to celebrate her birthday in 2017 by having a Masquerade Ball to raise money for those who have been impacted by cancer.

To honor her wish, the first annual Masquerade Ball Fundraiser took place Saturday, April 1, 2017 and continues annually in her memory. Proceeds go toward creating impactful friendships for the kids in Connecting Champions.

The kids in Connecting Champions are showing us the power of giving in our community by hosting a community service project this holiday season, donating toys to local children who are experiencing homelessness.

This holiday toy drive this an opportunity to provide special holiday cheer and the spirit of giving to kids in these organizations.
