Assuming our in-person programs are back up and running, every semester we have a "Friendship Assistant" intern who works directly with program staff in the hospital as we meet every newly diagnosed child and young adult. Friendship Assistants help us get to know our families, their emotional & developmental needs, and help find each kid a mentor for the cancer journey.
