Welcome to the March to Friendship!
Helping kids with cancer pursue their passions
Every year, people across the country form teams with their coworkers, friends, and classmates to help local children with cancer.
Teams have three options:
Donations support kids in Connecting Champions -- a mentoring nonprofit for kids with cancer, centered around the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?" Every $250 a team pools together sponsors a friendship for a newly diagnosed child. At the end of the year, your team gets a personalized scrapbook sharing the friendships you made possible! About the Nonprofit You're Helping
Connecting Champions is mentoring nonprofit for kids with cancer, centered around the question, "What do you want to be when you grow up?"
So far, we've paired kids with 35 different professions -- everything from ballerinas and train conductors to chefs and ghost hunters! Our research-based, outcomes-driven approach helps bridge the developmental gap between kids with cancer and their peers. Thanks to our historic partnership with UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh, we have become a part of the hospital care team and our referral rate has skyrocketed to 90%. |
